How NIPA Points Work
NIPA final degree classification is based on additive points from courses taken from Third Year Semester 1 through Fourth Year Semester 2 only.
1) Grade points used
First- and second-year courses are not included in the final classification total. The table below is the mapping used by the NIPA calculator and planner.
| Grade | Points | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| A+ | 2.5 | Highest point value |
| A | 2.0 | Distinction-level grade |
| B+ | 1.5 | Strong senior-year grade |
| B | 1.0 | Adds one classification point |
| C+ | 0.5 | Adds half a classification point |
| C | 0.0 | Pass grade with no classification points |
2) Additive points logic
- Only courses from Third Year Semester 1 to Fourth Year Semester 2 count.
- Each counted course contributes the point value for its grade.
- The final score is the sum of all counted course points.
Total points = Sum(grade points for all counted courses)
